As a part of Disney commitment to localization, the Indian television premier of Aladdin will be aired in Hindi featuring leading playback singer Sonu Nigam as the voice of Aladdin and Chetan Shashital as Genie . The movie promises a sumptuous dose of entertainment for kids and their families with music arrangement by Ranjit Baro t, featuring opening score by Shankar Mahadevan. The closing theme song is a duet by Kavitha Krishnamurthy and Pervez Kadir

Set against an enchanting Arabian backdrop the movie will bring alive the endearing tale of a street urchin's tryst with destiny. From frozen caves to forgotten catacombs in the sand, Aladdin and his interesting band of friends, face a myriad of villains the most unlikely places. Along the way, these courageous comrades discover the benefits of sharing, the magic of love and friendship as they embark upon unforgettable and wondrous travels.

Aladdin is the street-urchin in the movie who lives in a large and busy town with his faithful monkey friend Abu. When Princess Jasmine tires of being restrained in the palace, she sneaks out to the marketplace, where she accidentally meets Aladdin. Under the orders of the evil Jafar (the sultan's advisor), Aladdin is thrown in jail and is caught up in Jafar's plot to rule the land with the aid of a mysterious lamp. Legend has it that only a person who is a "diamond in the rough" can retrieve the lamp from the Cave of Wonders. Aladdin might fit that description, but that's not enough to marry the princess. The law of the land deems the princess to marry a prince. So what happens next?
